Job Summary:


Tulsa accounting firm is looking for a Full-Time Audit Manager. The Audit Manager works with other professionals in the department and the firms shareholders on audit related projects; including managing multiple audit and review engagements ensuring engagements are performed in accordance with professional standards and the firms policies and procedures; maintaining proficiency in the use of electronic publications, paperless audit programs and auditing software; and supervising, mentoring, motivating and training department staff. As a manager, you will assist in the development of team members by providing leadership, training, guidance and direction.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare engagement plans and budgets

  • Supervise and participate in field audit work

  • Prepare or review client financial statements

  • Prepare management letters

  • Produce and review work papers

  • Work with and advise clients on accounting standards and procedures

  • Schedule and supervise staff on engagements

  • Motivate, train, and develop audit staff and identify technical training and development needs

  • Additional tasks as needed

Experience:


  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting

  • CPA Certification

  • 3 to 5 years of audit experience in public accounting, with emphasis in governmental and nonprofit a plus.

Supervisor Requirements:


The professional hired will be responsible for the direct supervision of any staff.

Knowledge and Abilities:


  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

  • Ability to handle and resolve challenging problems.

Physical Requirements:


Physical requirements for positions include: arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, and reaching; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks. Any physical restrictions should be discussed or noted within the interview process.
