Title: Assistant Teacher/Office Manager Reports to: President Salary: $10.00 -$12.00/hour Position: Part-Time, Temp to Hire Job Summary: Local tutoring company is seeking a assistant teacher/office manager to work in their Broken Arrow office Part-Time. Professional hired is a new position for a growing company. Client needs to hire someone who can work the following schedule: Monday and Thursday 12:00p - 7:00pm and Friday 10:00am - 2pm. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain accurate student data files Conduct inventory of and replenish office equipment and supplies Develops relationships with schools PTAs Deals with clients on the phone- including answering questions from prospective clients Manage directors office schedule and appointments Help parents with any questions prior to students beginning their tutoring lessons Input any necessary payment information into system Answer phones Assist teachers with lessons Manage office o Filing o Organization o Anything necessary to keep office organized and running smoothly The professional hired will not be responsible for the direct supervision of any staff. Knowledge and Abilities: -
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. -
Ability to handle and resolve challenging problems. -
Ability to pass a drug screen, background check and OSBI check per DHS requirements -
Ability to be to work on time and as needed -
Ability to be detail oriented and reliable Experience: Bachelors Must have proficiency in Microsoft office- Excel, Word, outlook etc. o Knowledge of how to do a mail merge Company Conformance Statement: In the performance of their respective tasks and duties the employee hired will be expected to conform to the following: a. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervision b. Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. c. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. d. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Physical Requirements: Physical requirements for positions include: arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, and reaching; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks. Any physical restrictions should be discussed or noted within the interview process. Comply with the education content mandates of the Head Start Performance Standards, program assessment, and work plans. Administer Ages and Stages Questionnaires for initial developmental screening.
