Title: Document Control Coordinator Reports To: Director of Engineering Salary: $17.00 - $21.00/Hour Position: Full-Time, Temp to Hire Job Summary: Tulsa company is looking for a Full-Time Document Control Coordinator. The Document Control Coordinator is responsible for working with the Director of Engineering to identify/develop and assist with implementing and maintaining a comprehensive document management system, including the development of policies and procedures in support of project execution activities. This is a newly created position. Duties and Responsibilities: -
Timely management and update of project folders, documents, and technical and vendor libraries in order to support project design and ease of access by project staff; responsible for all documents relating to projects. -
Responsible for and daily support of project design and execution needs in regards to drawings, plans, technical and vendor documents, Engineering Change Notifications (ECN), Request for Information (RFI), -
Assist Project Manager (PM) or Assistant Project Manager (APM) in creating Engineering Change Notifications (ECN), annotating drawings where ECNs are pending and maintains records and logs regarding the processing of ECNs; coordination and distribution of outstanding item reports and newly arrived documents. -
Maintain all logs for the project (i.e., Drawing, Transmittal, ECNs, RFIs, and Shop Drawing logs) including location and disposition of documents removed from files. -
Archiving of all issued documents, drawings, and communication, as well as maintaining company master file. -
Assure quality of and clerical correctness of design drawings (i.e., Border, title block, date, drawing number, description, rev number, etc.) before issuing to client. -
Ability to establish strong working relationships with Procurement and Engineering staff in regards to the Document -
Management System, including receipt, filing, and distribution of all documents, both internally and externally. -
Compiles information and reports for executive management on procurement goods and services, steps, progress, details, and issues. -
Receives, reviews, organizes, compiles, and scans certification/disclosure forms. -
Provides assistance to the Document Control Group. -
Other duties as assigned and relative to the position. Experience: -
Associates or Bachelors Degree -
3-5 years of experience in Document Control, or equivalent combination of Training/Education/Experience -
Experience with engineering services organization -
Actual experience setting up Document Control system within an engineering environment Supervisor Requirements: The professional hired will not be responsible for the direct supervision of any staff. Knowledge and Abilities: -
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. -
