Account Representative

Job Description
The Account Representative reports to the Inside Sales Manager and exists primarily to solicit and close prospects for Qbase products, solutions and services. In addition, the Account Representative will provide prospects for the outside sales organization and assist with their sales efforts. The individual in the role will assist the department manager in developing the staff and building processes to support overall sales efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes a wide range of media including the telephone, the web, email and direct mail to contact selected prospects to sell Qbase products and services
- Achieves or exceeds individual sales goals
- Prepare proposals, contracts and work orders to support sales activities
- Produce qualified leads for inside and outside sales staff
- Maintain accurate prospect files including sales activities and prospect profiles
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports
- Sell additional products and services to existing customers
- Create sales and training tools for the staff
- Undergo extensive product training
- Support outside sales staff as needed
- Recommend improved policies and procedures for the department
Knowlesge and Skills:
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals by overcoming technical or business objectives of prospective customers using value and feature/benefit selling techniques
- Evidence of superior verbal and written communication skills
- Possess high energy, enthusiasm and comfort working in fast-paced start-up environment with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of tools
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3-5 years in an inside sales environment, preferably business to business with a technology vendor offering software solutions
- Knowledge of database management, CRM, direct marketing practices, fundraising and/or email marketing a plus
