Job Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure high quality is maintained for web based transaction and analysis systems.
Responsibilities:
- Thorough manual and automated testing of web based software, including: test plan development, test execution, documenting issues in a fashion that facilitates re-creation
- Participate in design efforts as a part of the design team to ensure high quality is delivered to end users
- Work on, and may lead, teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis of problems, planning of activities to fix problems, creating procedures to implement changes to the system
- Recreate issues reported by customers and documenting them appropriately
- Load testing to the point of failure
- Perform a variety of complicated tasks
Knowledge and skills:
- Familiar with automated testing and typical failure scenarios
- Positive attitude and a team player with exceptionally good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with highly specialized research and development engineers and other staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Education and work experience:
- A bachelor's degree in a technical specialty or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of experience testing web based applications
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
