Special Project Manager, P.E.

Description:
QORE has several large, complex projects at the Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina that require extensive construction materials testing. These projects also require a high-level of quality and thorough documentation of our services. We are looking for qualified candidates to oversee and manage these projects working from our Augusta, Georgia branch.

The responsibilities include:
-Responsible for pre-project activities, including signed agreements, invoicing procedures, and project set-up.
-Ensure that the project is executed in a technically sound, effective, and cost-efficient manner.
-Review of field and laboratory test results.
-Ensure that the quality objectives of the projects are being met.
-Responsible for routine communications with client during the project.
-Point of contact for management issues.
-Review and approve project invoicing.
-Ensure project is conducted in accordance with QORE policies for quality and deliverables.
-Coordinate resources, such as staffing, support by other branches, and sub consultants to meet the project objectives, schedule and budget.
-Ensure on-time delivery of the reports.
-Manage the contract, budget, and any change orders.

The projects will be set-up and combined into one profit center, with responsibilities including P&Ls, annual budget, and collections.

Job Requirements:

• Candidates must hold a BS or higher degree in engineering.
• Must have a P.E. registration.
• Minimum experience of 6 years in related field.
• Experience in project management, especially on large government projects.
• Understanding of government contracts.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or be registered to work in the U.S.
