Job Description:
Quality Attributes Software (QAS) is seeking a high caliber Database Administrator (DBA). We are looking for a skilled DBA with experience managing enterprise class applications.
This is an opportunity to build cutting-edge applications to help the energy sector and environment. Customers include local and national government entities, military, major universities, and large corporations. We have created various products including the first PaaS (Platform as a Service) for control system data management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining database replication and data consistency
- Monitoring and forecasting performance and usage statistics
- Managing access permissions and privileges
- Maintaining data standards, including adherence to certain laws/regulations
- Maintaining Documentation
- Developing, managing, and testing backup and recovery plans
- Ensuring that storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures are functioning correctly
- Capacity planning
- Commissioning and installing new applications
- Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security, and automating process as much as possible
- Acting immediately to resolve critical issues if they occur
- Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
- Self-motivated
- Self-learning
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of DBA experience
- Experience executing in Microsoft environments
- Able to quickly identify and solve technical or logical problems
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of multi-tenant and SaaS DB architecture
- Project team experience
OTHER USEFUL SKILLS:
- Abstract thinker
- Temporal or time-series data experience
- ORM system experience

COMPENSATION:
This is a full time salary position with an expected 40 hours per week. Starting salary will be determined upon experience. Company benefits include health package, matching 401K, dental, long term disability, flex spending, continuing education / professional training, and PTO.
