Job Location: Ocala, FL
SUMMARY
Ensures patient comfort and maximizes patient flow. Performs patient care in a professional and caring manner within the Company standards of quality and customer service. Performs various clerical and quality assurance functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Facilitates patient flow in order to maintain patient schedule by getting patients ready for exam (assist patient in dressing/undressing if needed), writing up patient's x-ray jacket and insert, Works independently and steadily to ensure an even flow of patients without delay or interruption.
Obtains patient's written consent to obtain prior films.
Responsible for accurately keying previous mammographic studies from outside facilities into the computer system.
Responsible for verifying the views for data entry, confirming the correct study (diagnostic or screening mammogram) and checking for implants.
Informs patient and their family of any delays.
Ensures that patient waiting rooms and bathroom areas are kept orderly.
Monitors supply of gowns/robes/sheets/towels and order inventory as necessary.
Responsible for knowing and following all policies and regulations including radiation protection, OSHA regulations, universal precautions, infection control, biohazardous waste and hazardous materials management.
Reports equipment malfunction and/or need for adjustment to the technical supervisor in a timely manner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
