Flight Program Lead Pilot

Job Description:
The Flight Program Lead Pilot is responsible to the Program Manager for performing duties assigned. In addition to performing the duties associated as a pilot, the Flight Program Lead Pilot is required to direct and supervise the other pilots in the normal operation of the site.
OPERATIONS TO BE PERFORMED INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Assigns and coordinates specific activities of personnel, takes necessary steps to correct disruption caused by failure of aircraft, tools, material or schedules and performs administrative functions as directed. Operates and pilots aircraft to destination adhering to flight plan, regulations, and procedures of Federal Government, company, and airport. Ensures assigned pilots operate the aircraft in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations, obtain weather data, file appropriate flight plan, conduct pre flight and post flight inspections, and obtain appropriate clearances for take off's and landings. Ensures flight profiles are conducted in conjunction with contractual requirements. Consistently verifies that assigned pilots are maintaining professional standards that meet or exceed all requirements. Evaluates performance of assigned pilots and conducts performance reviews. Conducts maintenance check flights. Able to work any assigned shift or schedule, including mission support outside normal duty hours and travel as required to support mission requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain in force a valid driver’s license. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid second-class FAA medical certificate. Shall have a minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory capacity. Shall have no previous aviation accident record. Shall never had any designation or ratings suspended or revoked. Shall hold valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license and the following current FAA certified flight instructor ratings: Single Engine Land (SEL), Multi-Engine Land (MEL), Rotocraft Helicopter, Instrument Helicopter. Instrument airplane with a minimum of 500 hours logged as an instrument instructor. The Flight Program Lead Pilot must have held these ratings for the last five (5) consecutive years. The Flight Program Lead Pilot must have a minimum of 3,000 hours logged total pilot time with the following minimum experience: 1500 Hours as an instructor, 1000 Hours Multi-Engine (PIC),1000 Hours Cross Country, 500 Hours Turbine Engine (PIC), 200 Hours Night, 250 Hours Instrument, 500 Hours Helicopter Instruction, 100 Hours Instrument Helicopter Instruction.

US Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense SECRET security clearance. Successful completion of a Department of Justice security clearance will be required prior to employment. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen. Spanish speaking ability desired, not required.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary determined by experience/qualifications. Generally Single shift; Monday through Friday 8:30 – 5:00. Benefits include; 10 paid holidays, Medical/Dental/Vision & prescription plan, 401K Savings/Investment Plan, paid vacation and Education Tuition Reimbursement after one-year’s employment.
