Job Description:
The qualified applicant must have a minimum of five (5) of recent aircraft experience. FAA A&P certificate required (FAA IA certificate desired). Experience preferred on model types: Eurocopter AS350B2 &B3, Hughes OH-6, Bell UH-1, Cessna C-206 and Piper PA-18. The 5 years of experience may, at the Program Management Office discretion, be waived if the applicant demonstrates proficiencies in comparable areas.
Duties include but not limited to: scheduled / unscheduled maintenance on all aircraft systems, turbine / reciprocating engines, prop / rotor, airframe, flight controls / landing gear / engine rigging, troubleshooting systems, daily / turnaround inspections, perform corrosion inspections and related treatment, washing / cleaning, servicing aircraft fuel / oil / hydraulic / oxygen / nitrogen systems, structural repairs and component repair / back shop programs. Typing skills and computer knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus. Position may require periodic CONUS / OCONUS travel, shift work in addition to scheduled / unscheduled overtime and weekend / holiday work. Must possess analytical ability, have a positive attitude, be a self starter and work well with others. Have the physical ability to lift / handle 50 lbs and climbing / stooping as related to the job. Diversity of working conditions may range from standard office environment to severe temperature changes, less than adequate lighting, dust, wind, rain and high noise hazards may prevail. Applicant must own / provide both SAE (up to one inch) and metric (up to 24 MM) tools. Employment dependent upon successful CBP-mandated suitability screening background check and drug screen.
