Aircraft Mechanic / HH-60
Job Location: Kirtland AFB, NM - Albuquerque
Job Summary:
Performs inspections, servicing, towing, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on H-60 and UH-1N Helicopters. Works for the Lead Mechanic.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of three years recent hands-on aircraft maintenance and/or servicing experience and completed a military aviation technical school or possess an Airframe and Power Plant License. Two years (within the last five years) of H-60 or UH-1N aircraft maintenance experience is desired.
Knowledge of the use of hand and special tools, and testers is required.
- Must have in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must have a current civilian driver's license, and be able to obtain and maintain a government flight line driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications-read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications.
- Must have a working knowledge (input and extract data) of CAMS.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of engine, main rotor, tail boom assembly, and flight control systems.
- Must be willing and able to perform in-flight FCF checks.
- Must obtain required Red X certification within 60 days of hire.
- In-depth knowledge of vibration analysis and troubleshooting procedures.

This position is not budgeted for relocation assistance.
