RB Royal, a family owned and operated manufacturing business located in Fond du Lac, WI, is looking to hire a CNC Machining Operator (Brown & Sharpe Screw Machine Operator).

RB Royal is a premium manufacturer of fluid transfer systems. Think custom coils, tubing and hoses that move water, air, oil and fuel. We manufacture solutions for the following markets: marine, automotive, construction, motor sports, agriculture, food processing medical, power generation, etc.

Monday through Thursday

5:00am-3:00pm  OR  3:00pm-1:00am

Duties and Responsibilities

SUMMARY:  Operates one or more previously set up single or multiple spindle machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanism to perform series of additional machining operations on metal parts, following specifications. 

• Reads blueprint and job order for such information as dimensions, tolerances and number of workpieces to be machined.
• Examines machine to become familiar with tooling setup.
• Proper coolant flow to tooling and part and adequate cooling in machine.
• Checks bar stock quality and loads stock into feeding mechanism.
• Starts machine and observes operation.
• Verifies quality and conformance of sample workpieces to specifications, using preset gauges, micrometers and dial indicators.  Requests help from Setup person as necessary to ensure quality parts.
• Replaces worn tooling.
• Adjusts machine controls and changes tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
• May instruct other workers.
• Regularly uses statistics process control to ensure quality of parts produced.
• May assist in setting up machine.

Skills and Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn.  No experience needed.  Training on site.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Good Attendance.
• Ability to conduct basic measurements using tape measures, calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals.
• Physically required to stand duration of 10 hour shift and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
