Job Summary:

Reporting to Physician Services, the Physician Liaison is responsible for coordinating the onboarding activities for all new physicians. This position will work closely with various departments including Physician Services, the Medical Staff Office, Strategic Marketing and Communications, and system leadership.

Job Description:

Essential Functions

  • Develop individualized onboarding plans for each new physician based on the physicians practice business plan, desires and needs.
  • As part of the onboarding plan, work with marketing and public relations team members to develop a physician introduction strategy aimed at developing community awareness, physician relationships and unique public relations opportunities.
  • Act as a guide to introduce new physicians to area medical practices to assist in relationship development.
  • Develop and implement programs specifically for physicians that promote and strengthen relationships internally and externally.
  • Assist in the identification of growth strategies and outreach efforts for business retention and new referral sources in designated services and markets.
  • Work with the market intelligence team to develop and thereafter, monitor a system physician onboarding dashboard that accurately measures productivity activity and physician retention.
  • Prepare and present monthly onboarding reports, identifying trends, additional business opportunities, and obstacles to new practice growth.
  • Serve as a conduit between physicians, physician practices and administration to manage problem resolution and/or service recovery.
  • Work with each physicians family, as appropriate, to make sure theyre connected to the community. Serve as an intermediary to connect family members to businesses and services in the area.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Additional Requirements:

RequiredEducation - Bachelors in Business, Communication, or Marketing

PreferredEducation - Masters in Related FieldWork Experience - 5+ years in Strategic Marketing Experience; 5+ years in Pharmaceutical Sales Experience; 5+ years in Physician Management ExperiencePhysical Demands
