Job Location: Roanoke, VA

| |
Responsibilities will include direct supervision of facility maintenance and housekeeping staff, coordinating activities of maintenance contractors, and assisting the Facility Manager in conducting safety and sustainability training. Assist the Facility Manager in project implementation, loss prevention, emergency response and other activities as directed.
Company Interfaces
The Facilities Supervisor will report directly to the Facility Manager, interfacing with all department associates and with other departments within the company.
Key Performance Measurements
Financial Routine operation within maintenance and capital budget limits.
Quality Maintain safety programs, clean facilities, and minimize disruptions associated with equipment downtime.
Sustainability Reduce waste, increase recycling and minimize landfill trash.
General Responsibilities:
Supervise maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and project work for the warehouse and offices.
Perform equipment repairs and other maintenance activities as needed.
Coordinate routine inspection and maintenance of critical facility systems and regular review and updates of loss prevention procedures.
Conduct maintenance training.
Supervise housekeeping staff and contractors.
Conduct safety training, perform routine safety inspections, implement and maintain safe operating practices.
Assist in preparation of and operation within department budgets.
Coordinate ongoing company Sustainability activities.
Assist in conformity to OSHA, NFPA, environmental and related regulatory requirements.
Act as liason between management team and contract security services.
Provide other maintenance and operational support as the Facilities Manager may direct.
Qualifications Required
At least three years experience working in building trades such as electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, or general maintenance is required.
Ideal candidate will possess certification in electrical or other related trade, have completed or be actively enrolled in an associates degree program in engineering, business, or a related field.
At least two years service in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Must be proficient with MS Office Excel, Word
Wants
Sketching, mechanical drawing, or AutoCAD drafting abilityability to communicate visually
Comfortable with PC, smartphone, tablet apps
