Description:
Local real estate management firm is seeking an experienced person for multi-trade remodeling, repair and residential maintenance.
Responsibilities
General
• Communicate clearly with management staff and personnel regarding expectations on a daily basis
• Schedule and perform various trades on jobsites
• Pressure wash & clean common areas at commercial properties as needed (dumpsters, building, lobbies)
• Ensure that all work is performed in a workmanlike and professional quality manner
• Perform daily tasks on jobsites to fill in between trades or to complete work as necessary
• Document jobsite details and report on progress daily completing work orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide information to supervisors and co-workers
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as communicating information, invoicing and scheduling
New Occupancy
• Clean, repair, paint, renovate vacant properties as required/requested
• Repair ceilings, walls (sheetrock), doors; install ceiling fans as requested
• Clean trash/debris from vacant properties
• Minor plumbing, carpentry and basic cleaning
Occupied Inspection
• Diagnose and document problems found at inspection; fix immediate items causing damage, and report to office as needed
• Make all approved repairs discovered at inspection, evictions and move outs
• Physical process of eviction and move out of personal property
Hours and Location
• Full time position requiring flexible hours Monday through Friday
• On call for emergencies in evenings and on Saturday and Sunday
• Work is in and around the York County, South Carolina area
Requirements
• A South Carolina residential contractor’s license a plus
• Must own reliable transportation
• Must be punctual
• Must have proven experience in residential remodeling with strong trade knowledge, i.e. repair, paint, clean, install, maintain any “minor” electrical &/or plumbing hardware for properties as required
• Must have extensive hands-on carpentry experience
• Ability to schedule and keep appointments with residents
• Local candidates only with recent experience in South Carolina, York, Lancaster and Chester areas a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Results-driven, with ability to effectively manage and follow-up on multiple priorities
• Basic computer and hand-held electronics knowledge
• Power and hand tools to perform various trades
