Asset Manager

Asset Manager
The Asset Manager reports to the Director of Manufacturing and is responsible for participating in the development and the execution of the manufacturing strategy that optimizes the utilization of all manufacturing assets and resources to achieve world class manufacturing results.
Essential Functions:
- Supports and fosters the vision of building and sustaining a world class manufacturing facility through the optimization of High Performance Operating Teams and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Responsible for the development and execution of the asset’s manufacturing strategy to ensure that the company’s objectives are met in all areas of manufacturing.
- Accountable for the business performance of the assets which includes meeting performance expectations in the areas of safety, quality, profitability, waste reduction, and team excellence through maximizing the utilization of the assets.
- Liaison with external departments (Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Tech Support, Quality, etc.) in support of meeting customer expectations and business performance goals.
- Ensures that customer expectations are understood and met by all members of the Asset Team.
- Ensures that all policies and procedures are understood and followed.
- Identifies and drives continuous improvement and profitability initiatives on the assigned assets.
Other Responsibilities:
- Internal and external point of contact / liaison for information regarding the assigned assets.
- On call / available as business needs require.
- Participates in cross functional projects as needed.
- Participates in customer visits / audits and supplier reviews as needed.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering or associated discipline and a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience in a Lean Manufacturing / High Performance Operating Team environment.
- Excellent understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and High Performance Operating Teams.
- Strong verbal, written and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to grow and mentor subordinates.
