Summary:
These positions are with a world class capital goods manufacturing company, non-union.
Basic Function:
Directs and coordinates a semi-skilled and/or complex work force in order to meet production schedules and meet required cost, quality and safety standards. Maintains and manages the staffing in the department. Conducts projects/reports that have a significant influence on the production function of the organization.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
* supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, or a related Master's Degree.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervises and directs the production of less complex (e.g. basic assembly, welding) of parts, components, products to meet production schedules and meet or exceed quality requirements.
2. Maintains equipment and manpower in department to meet work schedule.
3. Maintains efficiency and utilization throughout department via assigning Leads to help direct manpower where needed to meet required schedules.
4. Checks time standards in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering to maintain fair and proper standards throughout department.
5. Maintains departmental adherence to high standards of safety and housekeeping in compliance with company policies, governmental regulations and existing labor agreements.
6. Maintains positive employee and management relations within the guidelines of company policy.
7. Directs all related personnel actions (selection, training, performance reviews, discipline, etc.) for production employees.
8. Holds regular safety meetings and requires that safety devices be used at all times by personnel.

Unfortunately, we are unable to place recent graduates with less than 1 year post graduate work experience in their field of study. Exceptions to this would include the student having completed relevant internships of 6 months or more.
