Job Description:
My client, a major defense and commercial electronics manufacturer, has this opportunity open due to exceptional growth.
The individual will be working under the guidance of senior personnel who will provide the flow-down specifications derived from customer specifications.
Demonstrated ability to design , breadboard, test, and successfully transition to production advanced broadband multistage power amplifiers capable of watts to kilowatts is required.
Knowledge of commercially available Silicon Bipolar, LDMOS, GaAs, GaN, SiC, devices is essential. Knowledge of ALC loops, dc-dc converters, T/R switches, receiver protectors, power combiners, and digital control electronics desirable. Competency in the use of modern simulation tools such as Agilent ADS (both small-and large-signal), Eagleware, etc., is essential. Knowledge of modern test equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, peak power meters, high speed pulse generators and oscilloscopes is also essential. Good writing skills and communication skills highly desirable.
Requirements
Education: A BSEE is essential and graduate studies are desirable
Experience : The ideal candidate preferably should have five to ten years of experience in the design and development of HPA's operating in the range of HF up to 3 GHz.
