JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Off-Site General Superintendent is responsible for supervising all site improvement work and personnel to ensure our projects are built on schedule, per contract and with the required quality.
- Effectively manage staff by providing formal and informal evaluations and feedback, addressing employee issues when warranted and providing applicable training and mentoring
- Manage site improvement expenses to meet budget and control costs
- Ensure that all site improvement work is per contract, based on policies/building code and plans
- Create and set schedules for all off-site work
- Monitor the safety of all projects, and enforce safety policies/procedures
- Successfully manage and implement all SWPPP related measures on all jobsites
- Review and value engineer all plans for constructability
- Coordinate and oversee all tract acceptance work
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors, agencies and other departments
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 7-10+ years experience in project management/supervision of off-site work
- College degree, preferably in construction management and/or civil engineering
- Ability to read and understand all related plans and specifications with a thorough knowledge of all trades
- Proven ability to forecast, plan and schedule all aspects of site-improvements
- Proficient in email systems as well as Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and follow through for satisfactory completion
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to enforce company policies with subcontractors and personnel
- Strong work ethic; responsible and honest
- Professional, self-motivated and directed
