Job Location: Tulsa, OK
Job Summary:
The Sr. Structural Engineer requires a strong, motivated and detailed individual who can independently make decisions on Structural Engineering problems and methods. Must also be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and the FAA to plan work and resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
1. B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (preferred) and at least 5 years of design aerospace experience.
2. Strong Aerospace knowledge of:
• Fuselage (monocoque) Design and Structural Modification
o Damage Tolerance, Fatigue, Fail Safe and Safe Life Design Principles
o Stress Corrosion Cracking Design Principles
o Structural Test, Design and Verification Experience
o Firm Understanding of FEM Methodologies and Outputs
o Classical Hand Analysis Techniques, Load Path & Structural Sizing Principles
• Airframe Secondary Structures Design
• Aircraft Outer Mold Line System Installation Design (Radome Installations)
• Fuselage Skin Penetration Design Principles
• Airframe Standard Repair Design Principles
• Primary and Secondary Composite Structures Design
• Aircraft Furnishing Design (a plus but not required)
• Aircraft Furnishing Installation Design
• Auxiliary Fuel System Installation Design (a plus but not required)
3. Knowledge of industry practices and regulations including CARs, JARs, FARs, advisory circulars and orders.
4. Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals, departments and organizations, both internal and external.
5. Past working knowledge of ACAD and Solid Works.
Compensation/Benefits:
