Job Location: Tulsa, OK
Description:
Contract length - over 8 months Per Diem paid for all 7 days/week
Develops electrical drawing and details to support the instrument/electrical installation (One-line diagrams, electrical equipment location drawings, plan drawings, details, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.).
The Instrument and Electrical Designer shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following main activities:
• Perform ampacity, voltage drop and cable tray sizing calculations in support of the development of electrical installation drawings.
• Develop construction estimates from electrical installation drawings.
• Develop technical bid tabulation to support the selection of non-engineered electrical materials (conduit, wire, fittings, cable tray, etc.)
• Assist in the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
• Review and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
• Develops fabrication 2D electrical drawings complete with build of materials from P&ID's and/or concept drawings.
• Requires thorough knowledge of drafting techniques, engineering terminology and manufacturing materials.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD experience is required
• Associate's Degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting or Electrical Design from a two-year college or university is preferred but not required or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical design.
