• Requires 1 to 3 years of technical/vocational training in electronics including analog and digital circuits.
• Requires ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schematic diagrams, and test procedures.
• Proficient with hand tools
• Must possess good soldering skills.
• After instruction, must be able to set up and operate production related machinery including lead forming equipment, wire cutting and stripping equipment, and labeling equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic and advanced electronic test equipment including scopes, DVM's, and automated test equipment.
• Possess basic circuit analysis and trouble-shooting skills.
• After training the technician will routinely perform, without exception, the duties of other department personnel due to vacations, sickness, etc.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must usually meet or exceed production standards.
• Readily accepts new duties and responsibilities.
• Regularly suggests improvements to product or process.
• Trains new employees.
• Readily adapts and embraces product and process changes and new job assignments.
