Job Location: Tulsa, OK
Description:
Large Tulsa Company has an immediate need for an Operations Analyst.
Responsibilities include:
• Monitor critical applications and system functions to provide maximum availability and support for all locations supported. Ensure that systems are highly available using software and hardware tools
• Monitor Network Connectivity to all supported locations. This includes constant and proactive monitoring and analysis of potential issues
• Monitor Maestro production batch jobs
• Monitor Datacenter Environment (i.e. temperature and humidity levels
• Perform first level hardware/software problem analysis, identification, and resolution
• Execute problem documentation, escalation, and notification procedures
• Ensure that all service level agreements and processing deadlines are met
• Attend and complete required training to maintain job performance and service levels
• Prepare and update procedures and documentation as required. Provide suggestions on improving current documentation and procedures. Automate processes with scripts or macros as required, reduce repetitive tasks with automation. This may include some form of programming and analysis
Requirements
• Flexible about work schedule and should be willing to work off hours including weekends
• Participate in change management process
Minimum Qualifications:
College Degree or two year degree with three years' Network Operation Center (NOC) experience.
Experience:
Intermediate to advanced Unix, Windows OS, MS Office experience. Basic to intermediate working knowledge and experience with LAN/WAN topology and protocols, Network Management Tools (MOM, Orion, BMC Patrol, VMWare, Symantec System Center), Tivoli Maestro, Peregrine HP Service Center.
• Candidate must be customer-orientated and highly cognizant of the importance of customer service and meeting service level commitments. Also, must have the ability to deal with concurrent problems and issues effectively in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
24x7 Operation with 12-hour rotation shifts.
• Ideal candidate will be open to relocation in 1-2 years.
