Job Description
An analyst is responsible for supporting RSi’s customer engagements, primarily related to RFID (EPC) analytics, out-of-stock reduction and improved promotion execution - from statement of work definition to customer start-up, data analysis, business consulting and ongoing relationship management. These highly visible projects are typically sponsored by Vice Presidents at the world’s very largest consumer products manufacturers and often involve collaborative work with their retail partners.
Primary Responsibilities
* Support collaborative strategic projects with key customers using RSi software and analytical techniques to quantify the extent of lost sales due to out-of-stocks and/or poor promotion execution along with measures of their primary failure modes and root causes
* Perform business process mapping and engineering in support of pilot tests that will scientifically demonstrate ROI to the customer
* Help manage customer expectations and RSi deliverables while maintaining the continuously high customer satisfaction that RSi is known for
* Capture feedback from customer engagements to continuously improve RSi’s service offerings and drive requirements definition for enhancing RSi’s analytic applications
Skills and Experience Required
* Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) with 4+ years of relevant supply chain, operations, category management or related analyst experience (preferably in the consumer products or retail industries)
* Strong analytical and data analysis skills demonstrated by experience and references; experience developing data-driven analytical models of various operations / policies
* Proficiency in Excel or other data analysis / mining software is a must (SQL desired)
* Solid understanding of forecasting and replenishment policies and practices
* Proven project management skills: conceptualizing, planning, estimating and executing
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong customer presentation skills
* Excellent people skills and ability to build strong relationships with paying customers
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner
* Knowledge of RFID, Barcodes and UCC standards is desirable
* Additional software skills such us Java, OLAP, VBA, Monte Carlo Simulation, SAS, Matlab, etc. are highly valued
* Working knowledge of related enterprise software applications (e.g., Inforem, SAP, Manugistics, Retek, etc.) is highly valued
* Experience working with retail point-of-sale and syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen & IRI) is highly valued
