Description

The Opportunity:
The Red Wing Shoe Industrial Retail Manager in San Jose, CA has responsibility for the overall success of the Industrial Center and is responsible for all of the operations and activities of the Industrial Center. Key roles include, motivating your store team, managing the financial health of the store, driving revenue growth, profit growth, inventory management, loss prevention, staffing, training, accounts receivable and managing shoe truck schedules and activities.
Key Accountabilities
• Meet sales and profitability goals by evaluating monthly performance from financial statements and make adjustments to sustain and meet financial objectives.
• Manage the shoe truck business by establishing and maintaining the truck schedules in a manner that is the most productive and cost effective.
• Manage inventory levels by conducting regular wall counts, maintaining red-line accuracy and using reporting tools to measure the sales productivity and achieve expected levels of return on all inventory investments.
• Maintain dealer relationships through effective and timely communications.
• Effectively manage Accounts Receivable by invoicing promptly and accurately, collecting payments according to company guidelines, and following up with customers.
• Maintain appropriate staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Ensure effectiveness of staff through productive scheduling; communications; salary administration; coaching, counseling; monitoring and appraising job results.
• Partner with Industrial District Manager and the Industrial Sales Manager to determine appropriate product inventory to meet the needs of the local market.
Requirements
• High School diploma and 2+ years of related retail management experience working with budgets and sales goals.
• Strong computer experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Valid Drivers License required and ability to pass basic DOT requirements.
• Dependability and flexibility with scheduled work shifts.
• Enjoy meeting, serving and interacting with customers.
