Title: Brand Protection Manager

The Brand Protection Manager will report into the Ecommerce Leadership Team and will work with the Companys business unit leadership, brand sales teams, marketing managers, and legal team to protect the integrity of the Companys brands in the consumer marketplace to address the increasing volume of unauthorized or volatile sales or non-compliant trademark and advertising practices. This position will be responsible for identifying accounts that may be in violation of such standards in addition to developing, implementing and managing appropriate reporting tools for company-wide alignment. The optimal candidate will have strong cross-functional relationship building skills and strong analytical acumen.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Policy Compliance Collaborating with a cross-functional team, the identified candidate will provide recommendations, implement and manage the Companys policies related to Minimum Advertised Price, Internet Distribution, and Trademark Violation among others with appropriate remedial or risk mitigation recommendations
Process Management Develop/implement appropriate governance processes and management reporting tools relating to compliance with such policies based on largely recognized best practices
Thought Leadership Educate and coach brand sales teams to understand the policies and help ensure effective, appropriate compliance with the policies and remediation by all retail/channel partners
Investigation Identify unknown/unauthorized retailers selling Red Wing Shoe Company products to business unit sales and legal teams for enforcement of a particular policy; Research account violation digital/creative assets for proof of alleged infringements
Measurement and Reporting Practices Establish KPIs and create standardized and ad hoc customized reports to provide increased visibility to level of compliance with the policies and to set benchmarks that ensure our brands are being appropriately represented in the online marketplace
Toolset Administration Leverage multiple technologies and strategies to detect, analyze, and remove infringement violations of Red Wing Shoe Company products via third-party software
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of RWSCs electronic communication software.
Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards.
Uphold Red Wing Shoe Companys core values and ensure that brand values and premium service is delivered across all channels
Drive the utilization of technology and innovation throughout the company
Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs.
Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree; 5 years+ brand protection/compliance/marketing or sales operations or similar experience
Experience with third-party marketplaces, online commerce, competitive brands or like-minded categories of business targeting a similar type of consumer segment
Innovative thinker and creative problem solver with a willingness and proven ability to challenge the status quo with multiple unknown inputs as the organization evolves
Exceptional inter-personal skills with strong team leadership skills adept at successfully directing, influencing and integrating internal and external resources within a highly matrix environment
Experiences and general familiarity with Google Analytics
Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills
Financial and budget management savviness with a solid understanding of P&L reporting, Excel
Ability to travel domestically approximately 15%
