Title: Production Operator - Potosi, MO

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Work as a team member who will be responsible for jobs on the production line. The self-motivated individual filling this position will participate in making recommendations for process improvement.
Maintains and creates a safe work environment by noting safety improvement opportunities (including solutions) in own department and throughout the facility
Runs daily production on lines to meet customer demand with acceptable quality and efficiency
Assists in establishing best training practices for processes
Train on Standard Work Instructions to record efficiency
Read size nicks, style, etc. from part or job ticket
Checks tickets, match tickets with work and leather being used for job
Train on leather utilization
Familiar with product types
Be familiar with die use and searching for dies to use to cut from tickets
Tracking of work load processes needed to complete days list
Work with support areas to resolve issues
Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by supervisor/manager
Uphold Red Wing Shoe Companys core values and conducts self-according to RWSC policies/Handbook
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs as required
Monitors gain/loss and efficiency on a daily schedule
Ability to efficiently rotate to all positions within the department
Clean work area at the end of the shift
Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
Ability to frequently stand, twist, bend, grasp and perform additional movements as required by specific equipment and work processes.
Strong organizational skills
Proven problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong written & oral communication skills
High mechanical aptitude and strong understanding of logical concepts. (Candidates may be tested using a mechanical aptitude test)
