Title: Industrial Assistant Store Manager

The Industrial Assistant Store Manager (ASM) ensures that Red Wing Shoe`s values and standards are upheld consistently, that each customer is provided the Red Wing Experience, and ultimately drives a profitable Industrial operation. Assist Store Manager in promoting learning and development initiatives to ensure new staff and tenured staff are enabled to perform his/her responsibilities. The ASM is responsible for being the second-in-command; the go to person in the absence of the Store Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as the manager on duty, in the Store Managers absence, to oversee industrial operation and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Assist the Store Manager with account management process including scheduling the truck, invoicing, collections, applying payments.
Promote the Red Wing Experience to the consumer through the 7 step selling process and the 4 pillars.
Support store business through activities such as business referrals, community connections, industrial calls, and business relationships in their immediate area as directed by the Store Manager.
Assist the Store Manager in inventory management by conducting regular wall counts, maintaining red-line accuracy and using the POS reporting tools to measure the sales productivity.
Assist the Store Manager in achieving financial goals by evaluating monthly performance from financial statements and make adjustments to sustain and meet financial objectives.
Maintain through an approved maintenance facility a routine maintenance schedule for the mobile unit.
Support and verify accuracy of the daily log books, travel tracking and mobile unit inspections.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (following duties are required on all positions):
Maintain open communications with their Store Manager by keeping them informed about store issues and concerns.
Assist in local market store coverage, when needed as determined by Region Operations Manager.
Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of RWSCs electronic communication software.
Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards.
Uphold Red Wing Shoe Companys core values.
Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager.
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs.
Conduct self according to RWSC policies/Handbook.
Present proper Red Wing Shoe Store image with a neat and clean appearance, including wearing Red Wing shoes and Red Wing shirts while on duty.
Maintain store operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
Support Store Manager in maintaining a safe and productive work environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
Lifting generally up to 50 pounds, bending, lacing shoes, and climbing a ladder. Responsible for housekeeping duties but not limited to vacuuming, mopping and waxing floors, washing windows and setting up and maintaining displays, light truck maintenance (checking fluids, washing windows, replacing light fixtures, etc.) Occasional travel to attend training and business meetings.
Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 1-2 years experience related experience in retail, customer service or hospitality industries; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR KNOWLEDGE:
Valid Drivers License required.
Ability to pass basic DOT requirements, including a Drug Screen.
