Description
Red Wing Shoe Company is looking for a talented User Experience Designer to help create the foundation for differentiated experiences for two of our most unique brands: Red Wing Heritage & Vasque. We are just kicking off replatforming and creating transactional sites from scratch. This is a contract opportunity for approximately 3 months to help create the foundation and then possible ongoing, as needed project work.
Requirements The right fit for this opportunity will have extensive experience:
Creating user centered functional experiences that translate business and brand objectives into clearly organized and intuitively navigable interface plans that delight customers
Identifying user requirements by researching and analyzing user/business needs, preferences, objectives, and working methods; studying how users consume content, including data categorization and labeling
Balancing usability best practices with technical options/constraints on a project-by-project basis
Participating in discovery sessions for determining business requirements and provides guidance and thought leadership with regard to the direction of information systems that will help the business processes
Leveraging in depth knowledge of user experience design methodologies and best practices; plus teaching this skill set to others
Creating core Information Architecture deliverables: wireframes, site maps, workflow, taxonomy, content inventories, SEO recommendations, training documentation, click-through prototypes, etc.
