WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Sanimax is growing, and is looking for a Full-time Maintenance Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the maintenance team to ensure optimal operational effectiveness. This includes the improvement on maintenance project delivery and implementing improvement plans, driving KPIs and ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to so that Sanimax can be recognized as the very best

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of a best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

  • Drives operational performance through initiative, coaching, training, developing, delegation and accountability with employees in addressing opportunities

  • Communicate, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment.

  • Develop the annual Maintenance budget and forecasts and assist with Capital Expenditure Budgeting proposals.

  • Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the appropriate skill set(s) of the team

  • Develop a Planned Preventative and predictive Maintenance schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out and lead the team to deliver effectively and efficiently.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree (an asset) or relevant experience

  • Millwright or Electrical certification (an asset)

  • Lean manufacturing (an asset)

  • 3-5 years experience working in a lead or supervisory capacity with proven leadership skills.

  • 1 year + experience in assisting with budgets, budgetary goals, cost reduction (preferred).

  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Excellent leadership and management skills leading cross-functional team members.

  • Computer proficient with Microsoft office and any internal programs

  • Skilled in problem solving, team building, planning, prioritization skills

and decision making.
