Sanimax is searching for a Bilingual Production Supervisor (Spanish/English) to join our Titletown Leather team, an affiliate of Sanimax! This position will mostly work first shift hours with some responsibility to cover second or third shift where required to support these shifts with employee training and development.

A high performer in this position will have at least three years of previous supervisory experience in the Hides or Slaughter industry. Possessing a high level of professionalism and diplomacy this individual will understand the importance of employee engagement to the organization. A candidate who is bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred to support our diverse work environment.

The Bilingual Production Supervisor (Spanish/English) is an essential part of the team who will be responsible for operational results, developing action plans to close any gaps as well as coaching and developing our production team. Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations/programs, including coordinating and assisting with required safety meetings. Will maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedure

  • Supervise, coach and train Team Leaders to meet production objectives. Will assist Team Leaders with employee training and coaching. Will cover shifts as needed when Team Leaders are not present.

  • Ensure the quality of the product meets company and customer requirements. Will perform quality audits on finished product.

  • Oversee warehouse and product storage.

  • Work closely with Plant Manager and HR to ensure a well trained and engaged by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. Includes conducting new hire interviews, overseeing training process for new employees, and executing progressive discipline and terminations.

  • Communicate with transportation to ensure an on time processing rate to control raw material inventory

  • Maintain all production reports, SOPs and personnel reports and files. Ensure documentation required for external customers is properly maintained.

The right person for this role will have a demonstrated ability to learn a production process and partner with direct reports as well as internal support functions will be a plus. Additional qualifications include:

  • Ability to be objective and professional while engaging the workforce

  • Strong commitment to quality and safety

  • Ability to conduct meetings with employees to address operational items

  • Proven ability to coach and develop others

  • Strong computer skills including experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Proactive time management skills, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
