Engineering Intern

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Altium schematic capture and PCB Layout software
• Experience with circuit simulation software such as LTSpice

Required Skills:

• Strong circuit analysis skills
• High level of comfort with test and measurement tools
• Scopes
• DMMs
• Logic Analyzers
• Spectrum Analyzers
• Function Generators
• Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Perform and document EMC/EMI tests
• Build and test electronic equipment prototypes
• Follow a test plan to make worst case performance analysis for electronic circuits
• Advise on circuit modifications or suggest new circuits or devices
• Debug and repair electronics equipment
• Document functional tests of equipment
• Correct sizing and tolerancing of resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc.
• Research and specify components
• Create and enter assembly BOMs into the manufacturing system
• Prepare special part orders
• Verify completeness of bill of materials
• Layout printed circuit boards

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Coursework completed in CSC150, CENG244, EE220, EE221, EE264 is required.
• Coursework completed in EE311, EE312, EE320, EE322, EE351 is preferred.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
