Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Location: Lancaster, SC
EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree -prefer in a Technical Field
- 2+ years minimum of Automotive industry experience
- Prior experience with Supplier Quality Engineering or Quality Engineering
- Understands QS-9000, TS16949, and ISO-14000 Requirements
- Knowledge/Experience in utilizing Process Flow Charts, FMEA`s, Control Plans
- Materials exposure in aluminum castings and/or forgings; steel castings and/or forgings; rubber-metal bonding
- Auditing experience
- German language skills a plus
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Primary responsibility is to perform the activities related to Supplier Development, APQP, Supplier Concern Resolution, And Supplier Performance Measurement to ensure continuous improvement of direct material suppliers based on a QS9000 or TS 16949 Quality System and smooth launches of new product.
- Team with purchasing to evaluate, audit, survey, strategize and select suppliers
