Manufacturing Engineer
Job Location: Gainesville, GA
Salary:
$55,000-$68,000
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Handle product engineering tasks at the manufacturing plant level.
- Maintain or coordinate manufacturing system bill of materials and related system data.
- Coordinate engineering changes to insure appropriate design, manufacturing, parts planning, and SAP maintenance has occurred.
- Participate with various systems, SAP, Axalant, CICS, Tech Library, to insure proper technical documentation pursuant to TS-16949 procedures and requirements.
- Disposition manufacturing deviations related to process variation or variations to engineering specifications.
- Work with purchasing to build a supply base according to requirements.
- Train Quality Assurance and Purchasing department in production/ function related ways of thinking.
- Support and implement lean manufacturing concepts throughout job related areas.
- Support new products in areas related to engineering specifications. Support building prototype and
- pre-production transmissions.
- Represent Engineering at customers and support the customers with solving transmission and axle
- (drive train) related problems.
- Smooth Engineering Change Implementation
- TS-16949 Compliance
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- SAP experience highly recommended. TS16949 and ISO 14001 awareness training.
Experience Requirements:
2-4 years of manufacturing experience PREFER AUTOMOTIVE
