Inventory Planner
Job Location: Gainesville, GA
Salary:
$35K-$48K
Job Summary:
Inventory planning, ordering and expediting of purchased material for the production, while maintaining inventory levels at required levels.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
A. Orders parts from various suppliers for production based on analysis of MRP, customer orders, assembly shortage reports, rejected/scrapped material reports and recommended stock levels.
B. Responsible for material availability for production lines per planned production schedules.
C. Maintains material inventory at required levels between minimum safety stock and maximum stock. Achieve inventory turns and inventory levels according to set and agreed goals.
D. Tracks inventory shipments, confirms delivery and expedites ordered materials when necessary. Reconciles open purchase orders with the suppliers.
E. Uses SAP system and PC based software for tracking and generating of reports as necessary.
F. Utilizes SAP tools for inventory reduction activities and improvement of supplier delivery rating.
G. Item master set-up and maintenance in the SAP system for planning screens. Assist in the development and analysis of BOM’s (Bill of Materials).
H. Follows TS/ISO procedures for all work related activity where documented procedures apply.
I. Acts as a back up within the department as needed.
J. Performs related tasks and special assignments as required
Accountabilities:
Reports to Materials Manager. Has no direct report. Works closely with Production Supervisor, MH Supervisor and 3PL (Mugele). Will work frequently with Transportation and Quality Department. Deals with suppliers on a regular daily basis.
Job Qualifications:
A. Training/Education Requirements: HS Diploma or GED required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred. APICS Certification desirable. TS16949 and ISO 14001 awareness training.
B. Experience Requirements: Previous experience with Inventory Planning required. Skills with SAP system and PC based software required. Experience with ABC-XYZ and BBT tools in SAP preferred.
