Description:
Product Engineering and Technology consists of jobs which include engineering aspects of product and processes for concept development, product definition, design analysis, test, deployment, and post delivery support.
Position Requirements:
Apply knowledge of engineering and scientific principles to the structural mechanical material and process disciplines in order to support the development, evaluation, and reflection of organic, inorganic, ceramic, and metallic materials and of the processes related to their use in production. Apply knowledge of material properties in order to develop, select, or recommend materials that meet the environmental and regulatory requirements for chemical, environmental, and mechanical systems. Apply knowledge of fabrication assembly processes in order to develop production process standards that are repeatable, cost effective, environmentally friendly, and meet contractual and regulatory requirements. Apply engineering knowledge in order to write engineering standards and develop research projects to resolve problems and improve manufacturing processes (e.g., time, cost, etc.). Ability to use analytical problem solving skills to resolve problems of company supplier, and field materials or processes that affect cost, delivery, or performance.
Educational Requirements:
This position requires a BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering (with an emphasis in Metallurgy) or related engineering degree with an emphasis in Metallurgy.
