Duties:
St. Norbert College is searching for an experienced, dynamic, creative copywriter and editor with experience in marketing to join its award-winning communications team. In addition, the Marketing Communications Specialist will provide exacting proofreading for print and e-communications prior to publication, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and consistency of message and identity. The successful candidate also will serve as project coordinator for a small group of clients within the college, providing marketing consultation, project tracking and close communication with other producers while providing excellent customer service. This position requires an exceptional team player with a sharp eye for detail and design, a desire for serving others and a passion for the ideals that exemplify the quality and mission of St. Norbert College.
The Office of Communications functions as a full-service, internal communications and marketing agency within the college, providing print, electronic and multimedia services and solutions while maintaining a strong, consistent image and identity for St. Norbert College. The Marketing Communications Specialist reports to the Director of Communications and Design.
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one to three years of marketing copywriting, editing and proofreading experience, preferably in an agency or higher education environment. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field is required. Additional experience in project management and coordination is valued. Knowledge and application of AP style is desirable and technological proficiency is expected.
