Job Description:
Equity Trust's affiliate company, Sterling Trust, in Waco Texas, is currently recruiting for National Sales Representatives for their Sterling Business Development Team. The National Sales Representative is responsible for aggressively growing Sterling Trust’s Institutional client base and will be an integral member of the Sales Team striving to achieve the annual account opening and revenue goals, manage expenses, and offer a professional and knowledgeable client experience. The National Sales Representative will be knowledgeable regarding all Sterling Trust and Equity Trust Company’s products and services, have the ability to professionally address the client’s questions or issues, cross-sell products and services, and drive account openings in a professional, seamless and timely manner.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Be familiar with the Account Opening Process, the various forms, kits and products and have the ability to guide a client through the various sections of filling out an application or form in accordance with the investment transaction that they will be performing.

  • Achieve daily inbound and outbound call goal.
  • Achieve monthly Account Opening sales goal.
  • Work with the Marketing Support Specialist and Sales Coordinator to ensure that the weekly new account opening, daily call log and sales reports are accurate for your weekly activity.
  • Utilize and embrace the CRM System. Ensure that you are accurately and timely inputting client and account information consistently so that reports generated from the systems are accurate for Management’s use.
  • Adhere to all training policies and procedures to ensure a seamless client experience occurs and that all client information is accurately and timely entered into the CRM system.
  • All updates to the Website, Advertisements, Forms, Kits, policies and procedures must be communicated to the Sales Coordinator immediately to ensure that all policies and procedures are updated and current.
  • Follow up on all new leads immediately (within 24 hours) of lead assignment or identification of a potential lead.
  • Participate in conferences/tradeshows to generate leads and open accounts. Ensure that the conferences are beneficial and generating the appropriate Sales objective.
  • Conduct sales presentations.
  • Manage Expenses within the Budget. Obtain approval for all expenses prior to incurring them.
  • Identify inefficiencies with the current operating process and offer recommendations to create a smooth client experience.
  • Ability to work together as a TEAM.
Essential Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to analyze a sales process.

  • Ability to identify breakdowns in the sales process and make corrections.
  • Essential knowledge of the Sterling Trust workflow process and products- passing Investment Training.

Essential Education/Training/Work Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in a Sales/Client-driven environment.
  • 1 to 2 years of sales experience.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • PC skills including: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Lotus Notes. Ability to adapt to and quickly learn new software applications.
