Weekends: On call every other
Duties:
Perform and/or coordinate patient care in area of expertise in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers along the continuum of care. Demonstrate skills through assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex patients in area of specialty. Communicate the plan of care in area of expertise to other members of the interdisciplinary team. Provide care for patients of all ages according to the standards of care specific to the individual’s needs.
Qualifications:
Completion of accredited physician assistant program. Current WI state licensure. Certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Advance Cardiac Life Support certification. Minimum of 3 years experience as physician assistant required. CPR; documentation of knowledge of surgical asepsis; certification as first assistant or documentation of first assistant experience on 30 cases. Gynecologic experience preferred. Ability to work autonomously and deal with a variety of people. Ability to read and follow written/verbal protocol. Demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills.
