One of the most renowned management consulting companies in the world (w/o competition is some of their businesses). Want the best and will pay for it. Want someone from a large sophisticated process industry company who has worked at the corporate level is a large multiplant environment, who worked their way from a plant level maint. Manager level to corp. which is concerned with global corporate standardization of maintenance practices.

PETROCHEMICAL CONSULTANT (Targets are Ethylene & Derivatives, Aramatics, Butadiene, Styrene Monomer and possible in the future, Ethanol)

International management consulting firm specializing in performance improvement consulting to the energy industry is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic senior engineering professional to serve as a Senior Consultant for our Petrochemicals business unit. Within the Petrochemicals business unit, the Consultant will work with other professionals on benchmarking studies and performance improvement consulting assignments. The position will involve data analysis, project management, technical/operational consulting, client relations, and business development (industry contacts a plus) in delivering services to our worldwide clients. The position requires top-notch technical and analytical skills, and advanced computer application skills (spreadsheets, databases and graphics). It also requires an understanding of the broad business issues facing the petrochemical industry and an in-depth understanding of the economic driving forces.

We require candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Operations Management
  • Business Optimization & Operations Planning
  • Organizational Effectiveness
  • Economic Feasibility
  • Energy Conservation and Management

The successful candidate will have 10-20 years experience in petrochemicals or petrochemicals consulting and be interested in joining a dynamic consulting firm with ambitious expansion and growth plans. Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills and the ability to function effectively in diverse cultures are a must. Applicants must have an engineering degree, preferably chemical engineering, and be willing to travel domestically and overseas. MBA and foreign language skills are a plus. Additional preferred experience includes petrochemical economics and use of LPs, Spyro or PYPS and advanced statistical analysis capability.
