Compressor Maintenance (AV 3-5-4)

$80,000 – $98,000
Job Description:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, providing technical/engineering support for improving rotating equipment (compressors) reliability and efficiency. The position holder will provide engineering expertise in gathering compressor data for troubleshooting and/or specifying repairs or replacement to improve overall equipment reliability, work closely with mechanical maintenance & vibrations technicians, review/recommend vendor drawings and specifications, review equipment maintenance procedures, and ensure compliance with all safety, environmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in refinery/petrochemical plants on troubleshooting and specifying rotating equipment with emphasis.
- Reciprocating/centrifugal compressor experience required. Training in reliability based programs, RCFA/RCM.
- Advanced knowledge of rotating equipment troubleshooting and vibration analysis through experience, training programs and cross-functional training.
- Able to perform and/or be proficient in the interpretation of reciprocating compressor centrifugal engine performance analysis.
- Knowledge of reliability-based programs and good computer skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with Operations, Technical Services and Zone/Shop Maintenance personnel.
- Advanced problem solving techniques and good judgment. Must be a team player.
