Equipment Maintenance Superintendent (AV 3-5-7)

Job Location: Texas

Salary:
$70,000 – $80,000

Job Description:
California client needs:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering a plus, but is not required.
  • Minimum of 10 years refining/maintenance experience required.
  • Proven knowledge and abilities with fixed and rotating equipment construction, repair and maintenance scheduling required.
  • Proven ability to multi-task during an emergency situation.
  • Proven capability of being results oriented self-starter.
  • Supervisory experience to preferred.
  • Candidate with greater qualifications may be considered at a higher level.
  • Takes an active role to ensure that all maintenance activities under his/her supervision are performed safely.
  • Holds toolbox safety meetings and inspections necessary to achieve safety goals, while communicating changes in company policy, procedures, and objectives to employees and contractors.
  • Responsible for ensuring company and contract maintenance employees are in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit commitment to the safety of millwright field crew personnel and all others working within his/her sphere of responsibility.
  • Focuses on efforts to improve quality and productivity in the assigned craft in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for scheduling and executing routine machinery maintenance work.
  • Issues a weekly schedule and daily status reports, and well as keeps the teams informed of ongoing reliability issues.
  • Participates in the development, planning, scheduling, and execution of turnaround maintenance activities.
  • Assists in the counseling, training, development, and appraisal of the performance of maintenance hourly employees in their assigned craft.
  • Writes failure reports, documents history, and handles other required paperwork effectively.
  • Routine participates and takes an active role in activities aimed at the continuous improvement of machinery reliability.
  • Works jointly with the rotating equipment engineers to develop and execute these activities.
  • Stewards the preventative maintenance program work selection, procedures and intervals.
  • Takes an active role in improving activities associated with preventing, predicting, and eliminating work.
  • Troubleshoots field reliability problems with machinery to assist in determining the scope of repairs, and assists the planner in determining optimum repair strategies.
