Description:
BSME and MBA preferred with 12-15 years of solid, direct Operations management experience preferably in a precision parts type manufacturing process. Proven experience in a Six Sigma environment with positive Union relations experience. Should have progressive 'Manufacturing Systems' and Financial/Cost expertise along with a working SOP approach to planning/decision making. Production management in a multi-shift, multi-product environment with regular customer interaction. Successful track record in leading progressive and disciplined work environment (lean, six sigma, participative work teams, communications, measures, supply chain, etc.). Active and engaged in cross-functional business success (Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, R&T, etc.). Strong orientation for excellent service to customers (internal or external). Active supply chain management / systems capability. Full knowledge of cost modeling, analysis, and related business implications. Has led / developed successful high involvement employee work environments. A great opportunity for growth to higher levels in the organization. This highly visible operations leadership position will be responsible for leading the following activities: Develops a comprehensive annual operating plan and once approved, communicates effectively, successfully executes the plan, and delivers the desired results. Manages the timely delivery to customers of high quality products. Manages and utilizes highly efficient, streamlined, and robust process and systems in all areas (operationally and organizationally). Drives continuous improvement initiatives and champions related operating culture. Understands and analyzes cost / financial performance and implements actions for required results. Initiates comprehensive, timely and appropriate capital requests to maintain / enhance plant performance. Leads all efforts (and by example) to provide highest levels of safety and environmental performance. Develops and inspires a workforce to achieve maximum employee utilization and satisfaction, and periodically measures the effectiveness. Manages materials supply chain to insure timely deliveries, acceptable inventory levels, uninterrupted production, and at minimal costs - utilizing robust systems and computer modeling. Complies with all corporate policies, Code of Business Conduct, and external regulatory requirements. Actively and constructively represents operations in business discussions / decisions and collaborates with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, R&T, etc. Proactively analyzes and manages all relative operations performance metrics and reports regularly on issues and progress. Leads an active, timely, and appropriate communications plan for internal and external purposes. Represents the company in appropriate community matters and establishes company as a model employer and good industrial neighbor. Represents company to customers and suppliers in operations related matters. Leads all efforts for developing a positive work environment, whether in a union or non-union setting (includes EU Works Council). Works collaboratively with peers to provide best ' solutions; and shares best practices for systems-wide consistency, efficiency, and improvement.
