Job Description
Corporate Chef, Foodservice Distribution
This position is a customer chef for the Foodservice Distribution & Marketing division. This role helps drive sales through culinary creativity. The Corporate Chef role brings Tyson products to life within our customers (distributors & operators) and broker network. The position works with the segment, regional chain, sales, customer development and product teams to develop selling strategies, plan & execute customer events, create test & present concepts & techniques against the Tyson multi-protein portfolio. This position will be responsible for planning and executing national trade shows, activating key Tyson sponsorships on the culinary side and ensuring industry affiliations are fostered to promote the Tyson Food Service brand. It requires a high level of travel to customer locations to demonstrate culinary trends, menu & product application, and recipe execution. It requires culinary knowledge transference (training) of our broker chefs. In addition, the position requires a strong foundation in relationship (customers, industry associations), project management & presentation skills. The position requires an interactive process working in the customer's kitchen, with their Chefs often at customer locations or in Tyson Foods Discovery Center. This individual will maintain a professional level of food quality and sanitation standards at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Requires culinary degree

Experience:
5 years chef experience; experience in at least 2 or 3 foodservice segments, i.e. restaurant, non-commercial, hotel, etc.; menu development; manufacturing experience a plus. The position requires a strong foundation in customer relationship management skills and proven supervisory experience in leading teams of diverse backgrounds, levels and skill levels.

Computer Skills:
Beginner for Excel, intermediate for Word and PowerPoint

Special Skills:
HACCP certified; member of at least one professional chef association

Travel:
60% Travel
