Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BS in marketing or other business related field

Experience: 2-3 years experience in consumer research. Experience in qualitative and quantitative research techniques. Foodservice experience is a plus.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with an emphasis on Power Point presentations and spreadsheet analysis.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, public speaking, and presentation skills.

Travel: 10%

Supervisory Responsibility: Management of Agency relationshipand other external insights-related vendors

Special Skills: Proven ability to objectively interpret research, extract insights, and link to strategies; ability to work successfully with limited direction or in ambiguous situations; strong leadership, thinking and problem solving; strong initiative and follow through; enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously; and the ability to work in a team environment.

Summary: An Associate Research Manager is responsible for organizing insights used to guide strategic direction for customer and product applications consistent with established volume and financial goals for Foodservice division. Management of Consumer Insight resources the duties as follows: Gathering, Organizing and Reporting Various Consumer and Customer data and research such as: Proprietary Tyson data sources, sometimes working in conjunction with varied Tyson departments; Secondary, purchased data sources; and Primary marketing research projects aimed at providing consumer insights. Work with supervisor to establish and maintain a Consumer Insights Library for shared Team Member access to consumer insights resources. Strategic analysis duties include: Identify where consumer insights may be applicable to support business and marketing plans for Foodservice; Interpret consumer insight business needs and develop strategic objectives; Manage and analyze concept and product testing of innovative ideas to help drive new product development; and Provide consumer insights-based recommendations for proactive new product development and customer strategy Additional responsibilities include: Help distribute key consumer insights to marketing teams throughout Foodservice and Support in compiling monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting to management on key consumer insights.
