Job Description Summary:
The position holder will assist the R&D Technologists in the development of new products and processes, revising current products in order to improve product quality, profitability and/or competitiveness. They will also gain exposure to operation support departments such as Accounting, Safety, Quality Assurance and Human Resources, etc. as well as become familiar with the various parts of the production process. Our Interns are expected to contribute to our successthrough innovative ideas and value creation. Based on successful performance and the talent needs of our business, Interns may have the opportunity to become full-time Tyson Team Members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university. Students seeking a degree in Food Science or other agriculture related field are preferred.
Experience: Previous work experience of any kind is preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Special Skills: A successful candidate for an Intern position should posses the following: Be a motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn from others; ability to work independently or as part of a team; strong problem solving skills; time management and multitasking abilities; and strong interpersonal skills.

Degrees in Food Science or other Agricultural related field are preferred.
