Brief Description:
Under the direction of the Director, Clinical Education, the Clinical Laboratory Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, upgrading, and inspection the clinical electronic systems and related systems, and some computer systems located in the Clinical Skills Laboratory.
Requirements:
Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, And Local building and safety codes. Ability to read technical specification and manufacturer's equipment bulletins. Ability to inspect, test, repair and replace electrical circuits, equipment and appliances. Ability to exercise independent judgment in meeting emergency situations. Basic mechanical skills necessary to perform repairs on many types of equipment. Basic knowledge of safe working practices. Two years experience with clinical and/or electronic equipment and its repair and maintenance. Basic knowledge of Apple computers and experience with Microsoft Office and willingness and/or ability to learn programs related to human simulators. Ability to understand and/or learn medical terminology and learn the operating systems related to the simulator.
