Job Description:
1) Customer interface skills - daily interaction with customers, ability to understand the various cultural aspects
(i.e. dealing with customers in Japan, Taiwan, etc.).

2) High speed data comm experience - 10/100/1000 Base T Ethernet or USB or PCI Express - if they have experience in the
specific Ethernet, USB or PCI Express this would provide the required analog experience needed for the position.

3) FPGA experience

Requirements:
BSEE or equivalent experience (MSEE preferred). World wide customer support experience in person and over the phone with
clear communication skills. Strong team work abilities with sales and marketing departments. Experience with embedded
computing systems using 10/100/1000Base T Ethernet. Board level system design and system troubleshooting experience.
Develop and run training programs for Field Applications Engineering. Make proposals to Marketing and Distribution
Management for product improvements/new products and cost reduction opportunities. Experience with synthesis and
development of FPGA platforms.

Responsibilities:
Support customer applications of Ethernet and other networking products. Develop evaluation capability for networking
products to support Product Engineering and Design Engineering lab validation activities. Generate Ethernet PHY
technical documentation, including datasheets, product briefs, application notes, product architecture specification,
web-site collateral and other customer-required documentation. Perform interoperability and compliance (UNH) testing
with MACs. Provide technical representation for at industry events and meetings. Prepare product and technology
training programs for Field Applications Engineers and customers. Responsible for networking products to ensure that
application issues are addressed during the design phase. Responsible for the technical due diligence in defining new
products that leverage mixed signal design strength. Participate in product cost-reduction efforts, including
external component substitutions and defining cost reduction opportunities.
