Job Description:
I am currently engaged on a search assignment for a multi-national mixed signal IP Design Services company who recently has opened an office in San Jose. A well funded venture backed company with over 50 million in annual revenue the company is profitable and has a 20 year history. Currently keen on expanding is business in Silicon Valley, the company, is seeking an Applications Engineer to be Customer Facing and focus on Business Case Integration, Design Wins and Manage Customer Engagements Technically for the Mixed Signal IP SoC Design Services. Technology encompasses: Data Converters, PLLs, App. Front-End, for High Speed Networking, Wireless, Video and HDTV as well as other Applications. The companys design knowledge base is made-up of World Class Design Engineers in 6 World Wide Design Centers. The San Jose office will play a critical role in the expansion of the Mixed Signal IP Product Line. For this reason, the candidate will require hands-on experience with Design of Mixed-Signal IP, SoC Chip Level Integration and a deep understanding of Design Trade-offs.
Requirements:
A BS or MS degree in electronic engineering or related discipline
Prefer 5 + years experience as a mixed signal designer
Be able to understand trade-offs between various IP block parameters
A track record of successful design execution
A good knowledge and understanding of mixed signal IP design and knowledge of SoC integration issues
Good communication and influencing skills
Ability to track progress and address problems in a timely manner
Ability to interact, co-operate and build relationships with the various stakeholders of the group
Shows a drive for results
Ability to manage numerous customer opportunities at the one time
Willing to travel as required
Experience:
5-99 years of experience
Helpful Skills:
AC-DC Current; Chips; Phase Lock Loop; RF Signals; Video; Wireless
Education:
BS in EE (Electrical Engineering)
