Job Description:
An outstanding healthcare system is in search of a Registered Nurse Leader in cardiovascular services to lead the Cardiovascular Service Line to provide innovative, efficient quality health care to the southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois cardiovascular patient population.
The Administrative Director of Cardiovascular and Intensive Care Services will serve as a vital link between the healthcare corporation and the local hospital.
The Administrative Director of Cardiovascular and ICU will administer, direct, coordinate and plan the strategic initiatives and operational functions and services of the Cardiovascular service line.
The Director will provide independent decision making for the business operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiac Diagnostics, Cardiac Surgical Suites, Cardiac Rehab, Inpatient Cardiac Care Departments and Intensive Care Unit.
This nurse Director will provide leadership for clinical, service and financial quality initiatives, patient focused initiatives and physician relations.
The Director will monitor metrics related to market share, payer mix, productivity, quality indicators, including staff and physician satisfaction.
The Director will stay abreast of new healthcare innovations, trends and research in the ares of clinical care and service excellence.
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
5-7 years experience
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) - required
Leadership experience - required
Candidate must have demonstrated successful leadership skills and outcomes.
Must be able to relate and work with a large number of health care clinicians, physicians, administration, payers and regulatory agencies.
Ability to think conceptually and apply concepts in a practical application to operationalize the vision.
Must value diversity in opinions and approaches.
Nursing leader must be a creative problem solver with the ability to generate new programs/business plans.
Project management skills needed.
